CPM Government Relations Ltd., along with Dennis Stapleton, Director of Government Relations, continues to offer valuable nonlegal advice, counseling, representation, and insight into the Ohio legislative and regulatory arenas.

The need for an experienced government advocate to shape discussion with legislative and executive members and to diagnose complex regulatory issues is paramount in today’s business environment. Business owners are not always aware of what is being, or will be, considered by the Ohio legislature. CPM Government Relations will alert clients to new issues that may affect them or their businesses, so that they may decide at what level they would like to take action or become involved in the debate.

Dennis’s vast experience as a former member of the Ohio House of Representatives and the Office of the Ohio Consumer’s Counsel will enable him to clear the path at the Ohio statehouse to accomplish organizational objectives, comply with regulations or implement changes in policy for businesses, associations, organizations and government entities.

Dennis was recently elected as a Delaware County Commissioner for a four-year term that began January 1, 2011.  Prior to that, he spent the past four years in governmental affairs with the Office of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel after serving from 1996-2003 in the Ohio House of Representatives. His accomplishments in government include serving as Assistant Director for the Ohio Department of Insurance, Chairman for the Ohio House Insurance Committee, Finance Sub-Committee Chairman for Agriculture & Development and Vice-Chairman of the Financial Institutions Committee. His private sector experience includes 25 years of insurance and investment management work with Fortune 500 companies and small businesses. While this experience gives Dennis broad abilities to deal with any government relations issues, he has particularly deep expertise in the areas of insurance, utilities, finance and healthcare.

In looking ahead to new and ever-changing laws, legislation and regulations, we believe clients of CPM Government Relations, Ltd. will come to value our government relations expertise and utilize our unique services to stay up-to-date on evolving issues affecting their businesses.
