Mediation: a process for bringing about agreement or reconciliation between opponents in a dispute. Mediation implies deliberation that results in solutions that may or may not be accepted by the contending parties.
When your case is taking more of your time and attention (not to mention money) than your business, it may be time to consider whether the parties can, with the help of a skilled facilitator, reach a quicker resolution than waiting for your day in court. This cost-effective approach to dispute resolution often results in a final disposition of the case, or, when it doesn’t, helps the parties readily see whether agreement is possible and what the potential pitfalls of each side’s case may be.
As neutrals who do not advocate for any side, our experienced mediators strike the proper balance between allowing the parties to express their concerns and frustrations while at the same time facilitating a respectful dialogue designed to obtain closure. A mediator can also help the parties develop strategies that achieve the parties’ objectives, whether monetary or non-monetary, as well as craft solutions that were perhaps not evident to parties mired in controversy or ill will.
Mediation is beneficial in all natures of dispute, and we are proud of our experience assisting parties in matters involving employment disputes, domestic cases, personal injury, probate disputes/will contests and construction matters.
