Public Law Attorneys
The needs of local governments for legal services have increased dramatically. Municipalities are being held to changing standards of liability in their everyday functions, and financing for essential government purposes has become increasingly complex.
Carlile Patchen & Murphy understands the needs of local governments. We are experienced in advising and representing municipalities on a variety of issues, including civil rights claims, municipal liability, municipal governance and legislation, annexation, zoning, eminent domain, franchises, taxation and every other aspect of day-to-day municipal operations.
Our expertise has resulted in our appointment as contacted City Attorneys, being appointed as special counsel and being asked to conduct sensitive internal investigations. Our attorneys are also experienced in helping governmental issuers structure public finance transactions for infrastructure, essential services and economic development, and in meeting the regulatory requirements for such transactions. We have served in all legal capacities related to public finance transactions, including bond counsel, underwriters' counsel and special issuer's counsel.
Carlile Patchen & Murphy offers swift, aggressive and creative counsel and representation to municipalities. We make a determined effort to anticipate problems, rather than merely responding to them. Our commitment to meeting the highest professional standards is absolute.
