About:

Jordan Butler is a Partner with Carlile Patchen & Murphy. Jordan helps individuals and business owners with tax advice and planning, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, trademark registrations, and other commercial and business matters. His experience includes drafting and negotiating, asset and equity purchase agreements, real estate purchases, income tax settlements, lease agreements, and various business contracts. Jordan also has experience with entity formation, governance, operations, and business litigation.

Jordan also serves as the Chair of Carlile Patchen & Murphy’s Tax Law Practice Group and Co-chair of Carlile Patchen & Murphy’s Business Law Practice Group.

Education

Jordan received his undergraduate degree (B.S.) from Miami University, his law degree (J.D.) from Capital University Law School, and his Master of Laws (LL.M) in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law.

Professional Associations & Memberships

Jordan is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and actively participates in the Greater Powell Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as a past Vice President and currently as a member of the Board of Directors and earned Volunteer of the Year in 2023.

Jordan is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of Ohio, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and U.S. Tax Court.
