About:

Alicia Nesline Shaw represents business entities in her corporate and employment law practices, as well as individuals in the estate planning process.

In her practice, Alicia regularly helps clients navigate challenging employment law compliance matters, including – charges of discrimination, unemployment compensation, wage and hour compliance, discipline/discharge, general Human Resources (HR) advice, and workplace safety matters. She also represents clients in front of various administrative agencies, including advising clients regarding their obligations to collect and remit sales tax in Ohio and other jurisdictions.

Her corporate experience includes – counseling closely-held business owners through the “start-up” process, handling mergers and acquisitions, and contract renewal and negotiations.
In her estate planning practice, Alicia guides clients through the process of setting up an estate plan to minimize the administrative costs and tax obligations of their estate and transfer assets according to their wishes.

Education

Alicia received her undergraduate degree (B.A.) from the University of Richmond and her law degree (J.D.) from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Alicia is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and is a member of Section Council for the OSBA’s Labor and Employment Law Section. She is a former member and Chair of the Columbus Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section.

Community Involvement

 Alicia serves on the Dublin Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is devoted to bringing professional women together with a purpose and helped found WSI “Women, Service, Influence” a women’s networking group focused on local non-profit awareness, which is co-sponsored by CPM and USI Insurance Services, LLC.

She has also served as a former member and secretary of the Board of Trustees for Friends of the Shelter (benefiting the Franklin County Dog Shelter) and as a former member and secretary of the Board of Trustees for the Worthington Educational Foundation.

Personal Interests

Alicia is a busy mom to her two sons and two dogs outside of the office. She enjoys exploring new restaurants with her husband.
