Drew A. Pinta represents business entities in planning, transactions, acquisitions, and business services. He also works closely with individuals and business owners, handling complex estate, tax, and business succession planning matters. Drew helps new and prospective business owners in the crucial first steps on starting a business.
Before joining Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP in 2019, Drew worked with the City of Akron Department of Law Legal Division, where he handled research on municipal law issues and took part in drafting municipal legislation. He also interned with the Legal Department of the GPD Group, an engineering firm, where he reviewed contracts and developed an interest in transactional law.
Drew received his undergraduate degree (B.A.) in Political Science, with a minor in Spanish, from Miami University, and his law degree (J.D.) from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. While attending law school, he served as a Senator on the Student Bar Association and President of the Business Law Society. During his time at Miami University, Drew studied abroad at the John E. Dolibois European Center in Differdange, Luxembourg, during which time he received the MUDEC Excellence Award.
Drew is active in the Columbus Bar Association and a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. Drew is also an active board member of the Tri-Village Rotary Club. He is also a board member of See3D, Inc., a nonprofit which aids people who are blind through 3D printing.
Drew has been recognized by Best Lawyers® and was included in the 2023 Edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Closely Held Companies and Family Businesses Law and Trusts and Estates.
Drew enjoys science fiction, history, and travel. He stays active playing tennis and is a fan of Cleveland and Ohio State sports.
