Every business has its own culture, and ours is an integral part of who we are as a firm. CPM strives to support collaborative thinking and open communication so we can deliver the highest levels of legal representation to our valued clients.
Our combined expertise exists collectively amongst our various practice groups. Although clients typically engage our firm to handle a specific legal matter, often, there is some overlap within another practice area. This requires a synergistic approach to achieve the best possible results for our client. Larger firms with multiple practice groups tend to be more compartmentalized with a narrow focus of legal knowledge and training, often to the detriment of their clients. At CPM, we believe in cross-training and sharing knowledge to fully leverage our talented staff’s skills.
Career Opportunities
We recognize the importance of hiring employees that will contribute to the firm’s strength and ongoing success. CPM seeks to hire self-motivated professionals that share our values of teamwork, integrity, dedication and service.
CPM provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, military service or genetic information, in compliance with applicable federal, state and local law. CPM reasonably accommodates qualified individuals with disabilities to enable them to receive equal employment opportunities and/or perform the essential functions of the job, unless the accommodation would pose an undue hardship to CPM. This applies to all employees and applicants for employment.
CPM is always looking to add talented Associate Attorneys who embrace an entrepreneurial spirit and whom we believe would thrive in our culture. As a mid-size law firm, we seek individuals who aspire to, with our help, develop their own practice. It is our expectation that every associate will become a partner.
CPM encourages the professional growth of our Associate Attorneys. Our partners provide training and mentoring for every associate, as well as developing relevant projects. In addition to your legal work, you are encouraged to grow your practice by becoming actively involved in professional activities and community service.
As an Associate Attorney, you will not sit behind a desk for years doing research and writing projects. This is an active practice for an Associate from day one. You will be meeting with clients, attending court hearings, visiting client sites, and gaining the tools and experience you need to become a successful lawyer and develop your client base.
