Harvest Ball has always been a celebration of Local Matters’ work and an opportunity to recognize those who make our programs possible. Our diverse, committed partners, donors, and community come together, investing in a healthier, more equitable Columbus.
This year is unlike any other in our history. Because of that, Harvest Ball 2020 will be unlike any other. We are taking the celebration online, while retaining the fun, personal, interactive nature of our event that keeps people coming back year after year. All funds raised at Harvest Ball will support responsive programs that bring access to fresh food and food education, delivered with dignity, to thousands of families in our community.
On September 25, “Harvest Ball at Home” will treat guests to an upbeat, cook-along dinner party with nationally renowned restauranteur and cookbook author, Isa Chandra Moskowitz. Guests will cook along with Isa, enjoying an appetizer and conversation with local chef and activist Carnell Willough by of Willowbeez Soul Veg, beverage pairings and entrée as the event progresses. The evening includes opportunities for conversation with other guests, a brief program, and an opportunity to dance the night away from the comfort of your home.
