This month, Carlile Patchen & Murphy staff and attorneys are celebrating the retirement of John P. Wilkerson, Jr. For 40 years, John has been an exceptional leader in the legal community, serving businesses and families throughout Central Ohio. He devoted his practice to counseling corporate banking, finance, and real estate clients through complex matters.
Throughout his career, John was active in the legal and local communities. He served as in-house counsel at Buckeye Federal Savings and Loan Association for several years before joining CPM. John frequently lectured for the Columbus Bar Association (CBA) and the Ohio Legal Center Institute on lender’s counsel and real estate issues. He provided insight as a CBA Real Property Committee member and served on the Board of Trustees of The Discovery District Special Improvement District. He has been a devout member of his church community and lent his real estate expertise to help build a local church and campus.
“John, congratulations on your well-deserved retirement! Thank you for your many years of dedicated service. Your good nature, humor and legal wisdom will be missed!” Joe Patchen, Partner and Real Estate Law Practice Group Leader.
As John ends this chapter and begins anew, we welcome colleagues, business partners, clients, and friends to comment below, congratulating him on his retirement.
