Brent Rosenthal joined Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP in July 2007. In his practice, he focuses on representing closely-held businesses and their owners in a broad scope of their legal needs – business formation and structuring, finance, transactions (including acquisitions and contract preparation and analysis), employment and general business and legal counseling. Brent’s commercial real estate practice focuses on representing a variety of and their needs. His clients include buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants and developers in the acquisition. He also handles matters involving sales and leasing, development, financing, zoning and land use.
Brent is a member of the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. He is one of the ﬁrst Ohio lawyers and one of only 18 attorneys in the state to be certiﬁed by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Specialist in Real Property – Business, Commercial and Industrial Law (renewable 2022). OSBA certification is a voluntary process that requires a commitment to excellence. Ohio attorneys certified as specialists by the OSBA must take and pass a written examination in their specialty field and be favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges familiar with their work. Certified specialists demonstrate a high level of substantial involvement in the specialty area and fulfill ongoing education requirements.
Local community, church and civic matters fuel his philanthropic passion. For several years, Brent served on the City of Westerville Board of Zoning Appeals (1990-1998), where he served as chairman for five years. In addition, Brent previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Westerville Area Resource Ministry.
Brent resides in Westerville with his wife, Sylvia, and has three adult daughters, two sons-in-law, two beautiful granddaughters and a handsome grandson. In his spare time, Brent enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, reading, listening to music and spending time with his family.
