Brent received his Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University in 1980. He received his law degree (J.D.) with honors from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1984 and was a member of the Order of the Coif.
PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS AND MEMBERSHIPS
Brent is a member of the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. He is one of the first Ohio lawyers and one of only eighteen attorneys in the state to be certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a Specialist in Real Property – Business, Commercial and Industrial Law (renewable 2022).
Brent has received the Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV® Preeminent™. He was previously recognized as an Ohio “Super Lawyer” (2004, 2005, 2011) and named a Central Ohio “Top Lawyer” by Columbus CEO magazine. In addition, Mr. Rosenthal has earned the OSBA (Ohio State Bar Association) Certified Specialist Accreditation in Real Property-Business, Commercial and Industrial Law. OSBA certification is a voluntary process that requires a commitment to excellence. Ohio attorneys who are certified as specialists by the OSBA must take and pass a written examination in their specialty field, demonstrate a high level of substantial involvement in the specialty area, fulfill ongoing education requirements and be favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges familiar with their work.
Brent is very active in Rotary, serving as District Governor of Rotary, District 6690 in 2011-12 and currently holds an international leadership position. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Westerville. Brent served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Westerville Area Resource Ministry. He is active in community, church, and civic matters.
Brent resides in Westerville with his wife, Sylvia, and has three adult daughters and two beautiful granddaughters. He also enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, listening to music, and spending time with his family.
