Mr. Kunkler received his undergraduate degree (B.A.) and master’s degree (M.A.) from Case Western University, and his law degree (J.D.) from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Geoff also earned his Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy™ designation from The American College in 2016.

Geoff is active in several organizations within his profession including the Columbus Bar Association where he is the former Chair of the Estate Planning Committee and is a member of the Probate Law Committee. Geoff is also a member of the planning committee for the Probate Law Institute hosted annually by the CBA. He is also a member of: the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Foundation Professional Advisors, the Delaware County Foundation Professional Advisors Group, the Catholic Foundation Professional Advisors Group, the Ohio State University Office of Gift Planning Professional Advisors Group and was previously a founding board member of the Central Ohio Chapter of the National Aging in Place Council.
Geoff was named a “Top Lawyer” by Columbus CEO magazine in 2016 and 2018 and is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell®, Martindale’s highest peer rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He was also listed as one of Ohio Super Lawyers magazine’s “Rising Stars” in 2019.

Mr. Kunkler is involved with the Delaware County Foundation where he is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and a member of the Development Committee. Geoff is also involved in the special needs community. In addition to volunteering at state level competitions he is a current member of the Board of Directors for Special Olympics Ohio and is the inaugural Chair of the Development Committee. He also supports The Ohio State University and is a member of the Buckeye Club. Additionally, Geoff is a founding member and the current and inaugural Treasurer for the Central Ohio Business & Wealth Planning Council.
Geoff was born in Wooster, Ohio where his family still resides. In his free time, Geoff enjoys eating out and vacationing with his wife, Lauren, and playing with his dogs, Teddy and Mowgli. As a former personal trainer, Geoff is a bit of a fitness nut and enjoys a variety of physical activities and workouts.
