Joe received his undergraduate degree (A.B.) from Boston College in 1984 with a focus in history, graduating with Scholar of the College honors, Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree (J.D.) from The Ohio State University in 1987.
PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS AND MEMBERSHIPS
Joe is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and American Bar Association and other professional and industry groups. He is a frequent seminar lecturer on leasing, construction, legal ethics, gun law, and corporate law matters.
Joe Patchen has received the Martindale-Hubbell® rating of BV Distinguished®.
Joe serves on the Ohio History Connection Board of Trustees (previously, The Ohio Historical Society). He is a member of the Dublin Worthington Rotary Club and is the past Chair of the Board of the Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce and Huckleberry House and served in various board capacities with Huckleberry House, FirstLink, Pilot Dogs, Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters, and other not-for-profit organizations. He serves as a mentor in the Ohio Supreme Court mentorship program and he is on the Character and Fitness Committee of the Columbus Bar.
