Joseph M. Patchen is a Partner at Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP, where he practices business and real estate law. He represents businesses, owners and professionals in business and real estate matters. His business law practice emphasizes corporation and limited liability company formation, planning, succession and asset protection. His commercial real estate representation focuses on construction, leasing and acquisition. Joe joined CPM in June 1987. He previously served as Chair of CPM’s Commercial Law Practice Group.
Joe is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association as well as other professional and industry groups. He is a frequent seminar lecturer on leasing, construction, legal ethics, gun law and corporate law matters.
Joe serves on the Ohio History Connection Board of Trustees (previously The Ohio Historical Society). He is a member of the Dublin Worthington Rotary Club, the past Chair of the Board of the Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce and Huckleberry House. He has served in various board capacities with Huckleberry House, FirstLink, Pilot Dogs, Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio and other not-for-profit organizations. Joe serves as a mentor in the Ohio Supreme Court mentorship program. He is also on the Character and Fitness Committee of the Columbus Bar.
