Stephen D. Enz Recognized for 50 Years of Service to the Bar

Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP is proud to announce that Stephen D. Enz will be honored at the Annual Columbus Bar Foundation’s Luncheon honoring Columbus Bar Members with Fifty Years of Service to the Bar. The prestigious event will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26 at the Athletic Club of Columbus (136 E. Broad St.) where sixteen Columbus attorneys will be honored for their commitment to the practice of law by leaders in the community, colleagues, partners and clients.

“Stephen Enz has been an exemplary member of the legal community here in Columbus along with being a valuable and trusted member of our firm for over seventeen years,” said former Managing Partner of Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP, Ritchey Hollenbaugh. Mr. Enz joined the well-established Columbus based law firm in December of 1999 and has concentrated his practice on corporate, business, tax and estate planning as a transactional lawyer. Prior to his tenure at Carlile Patchen & Murphy, Mr. Enz founded, owned and managed his own law firm in Northeast Columbus.

Mr. Enz has been licensed in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio since 1967.  He received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in 1964 and earned his Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1967. He is both a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association where he served on the Lawyer Referral Panel, and recently on the Eagle Committee. Mr. Enz has also been distinguished with the Martindale-Hubbell® rating of AV Preeminent® for 2017, representing the highest rating for ethical standards and the highest rating for legal ability in a specific area of practice.  Mr. Enz has been a Martindale-Hubbell® ranked attorney for over 25 years.

Stephen is a lifelong resident of Ohio and involved with many civic and church groups in Central Ohio, including the formation of the Central College Church Foundation, where he serves as an officer and a trustee. He and his wife, Karen, have been married 52 years and their daughter and two grandchildren live in New York and his son lives in Columbus.
