- Born and raised in Shelby, Ohio. Enjoys golf, traveling, and spending time with his four children and five grandchildren. During law school, worked as an investigator for the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. Following law school, worked in the Columbus city attorney’s office, where he did primarily federal civil litigation, handling class action employment litigation, involving the police and fire divisions, as well as individual employment matters in Federal and State courts.
- Had an extensive general practice before joining CPM, previously served as a member of the American Bar Association Board of Governors
- Past president of both The Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations and awarded the Bar Service Medal; has been appointed Special Prosecutor in several high profile matters in both Franklin and Athens counties; has represented many high profile clients in both state and federal courts; and he has served as a member of both the State and County Public Defender Commissions; participated in many law-related activities; and was appointed a member of the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Delegation to the Ukraine, which assisted in the establishment of their court system in the post-Soviet era

- An active member of The Ohio State, Columbus, and American Bar Associations
- Undergraduate degree from Kent State University in 1969; law degree from Capital University in 1973
