Jaimi Blakeman is a seasoned civil litigator with over a decade of experience representing clients in complex business and insurance-related disputes. Her practice spans a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial and tort defense, with particular strength in medical malpractice and insurance defense. Jaimi regularly advocates for businesses, insurers, and professionals, guiding them through each phase of litigation with diligence, clarity, and strategic focus.
Known for her meticulous preparation and persuasive writing, she represents clients from initial investigation through trial, offering well-rounded and results-driven advocacy. In addition, Jaimi brings practical insight into the food and beverage industry, having advised restaurants, bars, and hospitality businesses on liquor licensing, compliance, and regulatory matters—blending industry familiarity with seasoned legal strategy.
She is licensed to practice in Ohio, Indiana, and Texas, and regularly appears before state and federal courts.
Jaimi earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2001. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Albion College, where she was a multi-sport athlete and served as Vice President of Philanthropy for the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
Jaimi currently practices in Columbus, Ohio, where she focuses on case strategy, legal research, motion practice, and litigation management. She collaborates closely with clients and colleagues to drive meaningful outcomes through thoughtful analysis and effective advocacy.
Before returning to legal practice, she worked as a paralegal supporting complex litigation and trial preparation, particularly for clients in the food and beverage industry. Her early career includes years of civil litigation work in Texas, where she managed cases from intake through trial, building trusted relationships with clients and claims representatives alike.
Outside of her legal work, Jaimi is deeply committed to her community. She is currently active with the Upper Arlington High School softball board, helping to establish long-term foundational support for the program and the local softball community. She also contributes to the Upper Arlington High School volleyball board by co-chairing fundraising activities and helping to organize community events, such as Youth Night. In the past, Jaimi has coached youth recreational and travel basketball, as well as provided coaching assistance to youth softball teams. She was also an early fundraising volunteer for Flying Horse Farms, a nonprofit supporting children with serious medical conditions. Jaimi is passionate about supporting youth development programs and family-centered initiatives.
