In 2026, Michael P. Cleary marks the beginning of his 50th year practicing law in Central Ohio. Throughout his career, Michael has focused on wills, trusts, and estate planning, guiding individuals and families across multiple generations.
As a member of the Carlile Patchen & Murphy Family Wealth & Estate Planning Practice Group, Michael continues to provide thoughtful counsel in wealth planning, trust administration, and probate matters. He is deeply grateful to the many clients who have placed their trust in him over the years and remains committed to serving them alongside the talented attorneys and staff of Carlile Patchen & Murphy.
Michael looks forward to continuing to support families with the experience, continuity, and collaborative resources of CPM, now and in the years ahead.

EDUCATION
Michael Cleary received his undergraduate degree in Arts (B.A) from The Ohio State University in January 1974 and his law degree (J.D.) from Capital University Law School in May 1977.
PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS AND MEMBERSHIPS
Michael participated for more than 30 years in the Columbus Bar Association as a general member and a participant in the probate, solo/small Firm Committees of the association. He is also a member in good standing of the Ohio State Bar Association and a member of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Practice Groups.
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
Michael was active as a member and volunteer of the Lawyer Referral Service. He has also received the Martindale-Hubbell® rating of BV Distinguished®.
