Alicia Nesline Shaw represents business entities in her corporate and employment law practices, as well as individuals and estates in the estate planning and administration process.
Her corporate experience includes counseling closely-held business owners through the “start-up” process; handling mergers and acquisitions; providing administrative and regulatory consultation in a variety of regulated fields; and advising clients regarding their obligations to collect and remit sales tax in Ohio and other jurisdictions. Alicia regularly works on a variety of employment law matters including; charges of discrimination, discharge claims, OSHA matters, workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, wage & hour, discipline/discharge cases, and provides client representation in front of a variety of administrative agencies.
In her estate planning and administration practice, Alicia assists the representatives of an estate in valuing and distributing estate assets, and navigating the probate court process when necessary. She also guides clients through the process of setting up an estate plan in order to minimize the administrative costs and tax obligations of their estate, and transfer assets according to their wishes.
