Dawn has more than 20 years of experience as a paralegal specializing in estate and trust administration, and tax, including individual, fiduciary and estate. Before joining Carlile Patchen & Murphy LLP in 2007, Dawn was a paralegal supervisor for five years at a major Baltimore area law firm. Over the course of her career, Dawn has managed the administration of estates ranging from a single asset to a multi-million-dollar estate consisting of strip malls, real estate, closely-held businesses, partnerships and other entities. Dawn has also been an instructor at a community college and taught probate and trust administration, and fiduciary income tax.
Dawn received degrees in Business and Public Administration, Paralegal Studies and a certificate in Business Management with a minor in accounting.
Dawn was a volunteer coordinator for the Baltimore Chapter of the Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation. In this role, she handled coordinating and implementing educational workshops, chapter meetings and annual fundraisers, including a walk-a-thon. Dawn also served as a den leader for three years for the Cub Scouts. She helped with a mentoring program for inner-city schools to enhance reading skills and educational needs by pairing students with legal professionals. Dawn has also volunteered for Ronald McDonald House in Columbus by cooking meals, creating crafts and baking for the Centerburg Music Boosters by helping with fundraisers and activities.
